Crime City

"You'll never win", said the forlorn banker. "The money is ours."
"It's a 9 millimeter caliber bullet John. It will penetrate your skull and kill on contact with brain."
"You're going to kill me?" said the banker, surprised.
"Yes if you don't cooperate. Tell us where it is and we will leave you alone. I just want you to know if you don't tell me, I won't hesitate to pull the trigger", declared the gangster, already sure of his victory.
The banker swallowed and began to sweat. He remained silent for a long time. Too long.
"Dammit!" roared the gangster. He slammed John's head on the table.
"Okay, okay", said John, holding up his hands in surrender. "It is underneath the painting but require my fingerprint."
In a fluid motion, the gangster took aim and pulled the trigger. Drake produced a Swiss army knife.
"Shall we Master?" he asked, waiting patiently for an answer.
The gangster nodded.
Drake cleanly sliced of both John's thumbs.
For the first time Travis spoke. "Let's just get the painting", he grunted.
The trio lifted the painting of the wall. They gently laid it down on the ground, so as not to make a noise. Travis took the thumb from Drake and pushed it onto the sensor.
There was a long pause before the metallic voice boomed, "PASSWORD DENIED."
Travis swore and pushed the other thumb against the sensor.
"PASSWORD ACCEPTED."
The gangster took the credit cards, jewels and everything else that was stuffed inside.
The banker had been wrong. The gangster had won and he had lost.
After that, everything happened very fast. The gangster shot both his mates. In the beginning they had decided to split the money, but now they were dead so the gangster kept it all.
He stuffed the dead bodies inside the safe, locked it, and kept the thumbs on John's desk.
Then the mysterious man took off down the road and into the night.
